Abstract

The changes in the dominant species of the herb layer, in particular Blumea gariepina DC., of riverine woodlandin the Sengwa Wildlife Research Area in Zimbabwe, were monitored over a period o f five years. Factors contributing to these changes appear to have been rainfall, utilization and interspecific competition.
