Abstract

A taxonomic account of the genus Lacheiuilia Jacq.f. ex Murray in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, is given. Eight species are recognised, and descriptions of these are amended and elaborated as necessary, three taxa have been reduced to synonymy and five species erroneously recorded within the province are excluded Three of the species are endemic to the province. An identification key is provided.
