A re-examination of the seven generic names used by Rappa and Camarrone reveals that three of them were validly published
(Pentacoilanthus, Tetracoilanthus, Pteropentacoilanthus)\ the first one is lectotypified here. The other four names are invalidly published. Their synonymy is given nevertheless where possible.
